The Rokinon 9×65 “Night Vision” Binoculars are NOT night vision. They have red coated lenses, but do not have the necessary parts to be night vision binoculars. I ended up returning this item to the seller because the product review is 100% inaccurate.

I got a pair of these for Xmas. As a former soldier, I’ve used plenty of binoculars in my time, so I had them out of the box for a try immediately. First, I couldn’t seem to get the two lenses to cooperate–I thought maybe it was too close inside, so I opened a window and tried looking out. As I raised them up, the right lens assembly fell off. I tried to return them to the address that came with them. Rokinon wanted a check included for postage, so I had to pay for it both ways. After a month the USPS returned them unopened; Rokinon had moved from the New York City address and if there was a forward it expired. Now I’ve got a paperweight and as far as I’m concerned, Rokinon owes me for $20 postage and my wife whatever she paid for this POS.

My wife didn’t know any better, and she got ripped off trying to get me binoculars because she knew I wanted a pair. Don’t waste your time and money. These are cheapass Chinese knockoffs that look like binoculars, but you get what you pay for. I ended up buying a 30 year old pair of German binoculars on Ebay for a couple hundred bucks that work outstanding.
