This review is from: Euro Ceramica Sunok Sun Cook, Solar Oven (Kitchen)

I bought the Sun Cook after having done a lot of research into the pros and cons of all the ovens on the market. I wanted the best. What sold me on this one was the design. Compared to the other options available, this one looks the best, and provides a lot of data and diagrams about the technology behind it. It works! Water boils in no time. It does get very hot.
But it has problem. It smells!!! I’ve followed all the instructions on getting rid of the toxic-smelling odor for weeks, and finally gave up. I liked the oven so much that I took it apart to see if I could remove the cause of the problem, and I found glue! The inside reflective panels are glued in place! I’ve contacted the manufacturer, and was assured that the glue is non-toxic (there is no such thing as a non-toxic adhesive). The glue is 3M, the same kind of adhesive used in weather stripping. It stinks, and no, I don’t want to cook my food in glue vapors.
This would be such a wonderful product, if only more common sense was used in the design of it. There is absolutely no way to remove the odor. I even took the glue off, but the smell remains, I guess embedded in the plastic.
